Inter-Mine Games 2022
Sport is one of those activities that helps us balance our lives. The 2022 Inter-Mine Games hosted by Swakop Uranium was a fun filled sport event aiming to create a work life balance for the mine workers in Namibia, promoting wellness and team spirit among mine employees. ‘’The games are also intended to create a platform for networking within the mining industry, while strengthening camaraderie among workers as well as developing sports talents’’.
I had the absolute privilege of capturing the rawest emotions and beautiful moments during the event and I have learned one or two things about the different sports. I have seen closely the resilience of a ‘spongy’ Referee which was incredible. The speed of a Linesman is just too amazing to ignore. After the sifting, the Navachab football team took the gold home in what proved to be Clash of The Titans match. Overall, the games were all great.
